A few months ago my buddy and I were out and he dug up what he called a messed up key. i recognized it right away that it was half of a key. Yesterday I dug up the other half and Dave took it home and sure enough, it makes a perfect key.

I'll post up some pics later today. Just curious if anyone else has ever seen a 2 piece key. I must not have the correct wording or description for it, because I cannot find anything about it when I Google it.

Dang - haven't a clue what a "2 piece key" is - can't wait to see a picture. Maybe it will make sense then...

My best description is this: The 2 halves were machined in such a way that the part that you hold to turn after it is inserted in the lock, will "snap" or fit together forming a whole key. One half is machined with the teeth and the other half is machined with the flat part. once you line up the 2 halves they more or less just "fit" together.

Now that's just funny! (at least to me, anyway). lol.
I was thinking maybe a "secret key" or something that would break down,
that the 2 pieces would each be a tool (of sorts), LOL.

Ok, roach clip, :laughing7:

how would this be used as a roach clip
what's the point?
I don't see any indication that it was spring loaded, or a way to hold a roach
IMO
been there and did that

I don't think this one was a roach clip. I have seen these before and they were used to unlock something important.

As soon as I saw it I laughed.

You got a big beard, but don't recognize a roach clip!

What gives?
