A Shoe stretching Bunion Tool was going to be my next guess, Matt! - But, if you really tried, you COULD kill a chicken with that thing.

Although I can't find a pair like them, I *think* they are a pair of
roundball sizing pliers. If the ball can be pushed through the
hole, it will fit their barrel?
