2010 Canadian Penny - proof?

I just did a box of cents and found 9 wheaties and a fair amount of copper. Also found a 2010 canadian penny with the RCM symbol on the front...I don't know enough about canadian coins but this is the first time I have seen and/or noticed this. Is this from a proof set by any chance or is this on new pennies? Thanks!

As far as I know it's on the newer pennies. I have been putting together a Canadian cent book from CRH and am complete from 46-2011. In the 2008 -12 they changed from P mark to the RMC. I think it was 08. Maybe 07. Anyway. There are plane ones and ones with the RMC. Hope this helps. Looks like a circulation piece.

Not a proof
the RCM started putting this symbol on some pennies in 2006
Starting in 2007, all Canadian pennies had them

The vast majority of 2010 Canadian pennies are zinc (nonmagnetic)
If this coin is steel (magnetic) that would be worth keeping.

The steel ones don't have any extra value I think, but worth keeping. I keep all Canadian cents, since I really don't like coins being melted down.

Proofs would have a mirror finish.
