Picked up a box of halves yesterday to kick off the new year, it was a pretty good one.

The box had two enders showing, and gave up five 90%ers and one 40%er:

1940
1941S
1943
1945
1947D
1969D

Picked up a box of halves + $20 in loose halves yesterday.

The loose halves gave up one 90%er: 1964.

The box also gave up one 90%er: 1961 Ben.

Mastermind: you have been hitting some constant results lately, keep it up, good start to a new year.

Great find love to see the ladies one of my favorite coins.Keep up the hunt

Thanks! The beginning of the the year for me, the silver usually trickles in. But it is a steady trickle.

Historically, March and April are my best months.

Spent the last two weeks taking the scenic route through Skunksville. Man, that was rough! And the views not so scenic.

However, this weekend was good and delivered me from Skunksville.

Picked up two boxes of halves + two boxes of dimes over the weekend, one box of each were skunks.

The second box of dimes gave up three keepers, a Merc and two Roosies:

1937 Merc
1963
1964

The second box of halves gave up three 40%ers, and I also found a war nickel in the teller's tray when I was picking the box up:

1967
1968D
1969D
1943S

February has been pretty skunky.

Box of halves last night gave up two 40%ers:

1965
1966

I'm hoping my finds pick up and I get a little of that there Irish luck coming my way in March.

Ugh, it is so skunky in my area!

Picked up a box of halves yesterday, never seen this code before:

Anyway, it gave up one 40%er: 1967.

First silver in over two weeks, ending a 20-box skunk streak.

Mastermind: that 4-digit code is the packers badge number that they use for quality inspections. This way they know who may have screwed up a box quantity. I asked a delivery driver years ago what that meant., but why 0000?, usually 4 numbers.

Yeah, I meant that this was the first time seeing a 0000-coded flat box of halves. I usually see flat boxes of halves coded 6024, 6026, and 6037.

6024's provide a steady trickle of silver.

6026's are horrible most of the time, but then I'll get one really good box every once in a while.

6037's are horrible, and at most give up a few 40%er every few of months.

I also get cube-style boxes and non-coded flat boxes of halves from a few branches that give up a steady trickle of silver.

Not too shabby of a weekend. Picked up a box of halves + $590 in MWR of halves from a few different banks.

Box of halves gave up five keepers, one 90%er and four 40%ers:

1964
1966
1968D
1969D x 2

The $590 in MWR gave up two 90%ers:

1963 Ben
1964
