2nd & 3rd time to the Librarian's old home...
Hi, well the North East had a couple nice Spring days this past week and I just had to get out and play in the dirt. My 1st visit previously at my daughter's librarian's 1875 Cobblestone home netted me 3 silvers, 15 crappy looking wheaties and a nice brass Victorian sash clip --> http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,388313.msg2761350.html#msg2761350
My return visits this week produced more goodies! When I stepped out of the truck... I hit a iffy signal right away and pulled up a dateless Buffalo Nickel with a Denver mint mark. I proceeded for just over an hour and pulled another dozen crappy wheaties and a 1955 silver Canadian dime and a old 1956 Canadian penny.
My 3rd visit still produced for me! Another old Merc (1920-D) and another silver Rosie with yet more crappy wheaties. Also, this visit I pulled out a silver ring, my wife says it's a "fitted" ring, you can see that it has a curved shape to it. And I pulled out what appears to be a silver what's it, or maybe silver plated I can't really tell. One end of it is broken. Total's so far here is 37 wheaties, 5 silver dimes, 1 silver quarter, 1 buffalo nickel.
NOT A SINGLE COIN PRE-TEENS!!! AUGH! WHERE ARE THEY HIDING?
I have a bit more yard to md yet to finish up, next time though it is in the far back yard further away from the home. Not sure if I'll get much back there or not but we'll see. I also think I should put on the small 5inch coil and check the front yard again, it's real trashy and I'm sure there's goodies there to be found but I just wasn't pulling much out of there with the 9inch stock coil. Here's pics of everything altogether for my 3 visits. Each visit was 2 - 3 1/2 hrs. Not too bad at all
Thanks for looking!
