In addition to my 1917 d Merc last night that was 20' off of my back porch, tonight I made an even better find(to me anyways). Not more than 20' out the other direction from my porch, I found a wedding band. It is only gold plated(I think this is the case as some of the gold is gone). I do not see a hallmark on the inside of the band, the gold on the inside is intact. It is about size 8, maybe 7. I wear a size 9, but my fingers are small, so it may have been a women's ring. There are no markings on the ring at all. If I had a camera that would macro I would take a pic of it... scanning it would be of little use. For a house history, read my other post of close to the same title..... I am positive that this ring had to belong to someone in my family.... I use an XLT and thought I'd try turning up the pre-amp gain. I took it to 4, and found the ring within 5 minutes.... but found nothing else..... then later tonight I cranked it to 5, and found a penny... I thought hotdog.... another old wheatie..... naw it was an 85' stinkin' Lincoln....... what else is right off my back porch?? Stay tuned for more finds.....
