I went back to the local park here in my town to continue hunting the grassy areas...around the same location where I found my first wheatie yesterday. It must be a pretty good spot, because I managed to dig up my 2nd wheat penny (1953d)! Not only that, but I managed to find a token from Chucky Cheese, a car key, some kind of handle with the arm attached to it, one quarter, 10 dimes, 6 nickels, 28 lincoln pennies, a button (looks like it's from a pair of jeans), and a crapload of pull tabs. So...a GOOD morning hunting here in Florida!!! Happy hunting to you all... :icon_thumleft:

I will definitely keep pounding that area hard...I'd love to find some silver or gold! (wouldn't we all though, huh?). Happy hunting! :icon_thumleft:

The wheat is flowing for sure...I'm going to take a couple days off from swinging...my arm hurts from hunting just about all day long for the past two days, and my wife is feeling under the weather, so best to take a couple day break and tend to her. I'm excited though...can't wait to bring in my first silver!!! Happy hunting, Glen! ;D

Wow, and both wheaties are in really nice shape! So is the token. Please send some of that soil over here as it seems to keep finds in great condition! :icon_pirat:

Yeah, detecting will work out some muscles for sure. I could hardly walk last week after doing hundreds of squats detecting!

Nicely done!!

All the best,

Lanny

Ditto, the soil here in Illinois is not very penny friendly, as a matter of fact sometimes it gets downright hostile. As much as I like digging up Wheaties and the one and only IH I've found they're pretty much useless, too bad of shape to ever be worthwhile again. Nickels don't necessarily fare much better.

Congrats on the Wheats, and on your first Chuckee Cheese token! :headbang: :hello2: :laughing7:

It looks like you and your machine are doing everything right Desertvet...now it's just a matter of time and you'll hit that first silver coin! :icon_thumleft:

Congrats on the wheatie hope you find many more

Wow! looks like you dig every signal! With the finds you made, pull tabs and nickels, it;s only a mater of time before you dig a nice gold ring. I'm hoping it is soon. Congratulations on your wheatie. HH
