Had the day off from work & went to a new spot. Weather was so much better than the last few days. Boy this was one hot spot!

Got a KGI Hibernia Double Strike Error, CT Copper & a Draped Bust, along with the Flintlock hammer with the flint still in it! Nabbed some more buttons as well.

On the way home I spotted another hole by the side of the road and pulled a pocket spill full of goodies, Standing Liberty, Buffalo Nickel & 3 Wheaties.

HH,
Roger

Wow! You had one heckuva hunt. That DB is in awesome shape.

Incredible hunt!!! that assortment of finds would make my entire fall. What's the rarity on the error KG1?

Wow! awesome hunt. Congrats!

Nice Finds!! That KG I is horribly struck, thats so cool! probably a rare one for sure....

Got home exhausted and happy, didn't ya?!
Killer day, fantastic stuff!

Man you killed it.
You have a little bit of everything there.

Great coins, but that hammer WITH FLINT . . . Jack, that would make my month!

The lock with the flint still in it is an amazing find, love it!

The last one to touch that flint probably killed a Red Coat with that gun or maybe a Red Coat killed him and this is what's left of a fallen Patriot's gun. That may have belonged to someone who knew the founding fathers themselves and he died to create the country we all live in now!:icon_thumleft:

Great spot you have, congrats on the day's finds the assortment is really nice.

Wow you got yourself on a hotspot for sure!!, that double error coin is awesome, a lot lot lot of detail left on it!
The rest of your finds are awesome too! Congrats

The double-struck King George and musket parts are terrific finds. Congrats on both.

Now that was a great hunt!
Love the flintlock hammer! :o

Great finds, the coppers were very nice to find, the KG III Halfpenny that is double struck is nice, I found one years ago, most likely a counterfeit like mine is. Think mine shows two crowns on the back for the main details that show. BUT, the find of the day is without a doubt the flintlock hammer with the flint still in it! Does not get much better than that for if you are going to find a part of an old gun that it is that piece. Great display and conversation piece of history.

Thanks Don! The hammer is so cool, I only hope I can find the lockplate. I'm pretty sure it came off a Charleville Musket.

Too bad the double struck Hibernia is toast on the reverse. Don't see too many error George coppers, but it is one I have crossed off the list. Double struck (on both sides) Brit Geo. III halfpenny. Also in 'pretty dug' condition, but my only one.
