A cloudy day ideal to take the field and have been hunting three hours in one of the more remote areas of the Valley of the Vineyards. When appeared the mount with the lion thought it was a seal matrix, I flip several times could not identify anything, till I could finally look .... It was a lion with claws raised. :o
Two buckles which appeared together next to each other (this is amazing the only two buckles of the day, the two Medievals and together), also a Medieval thimble , and coins .
A great day .... for only three hours.

Is the place of hunting in the last three months, and will be going back because you can hunt all year round ... and eating grapes in the summer. :laughing7:

Hispan, you are so lucky to live in an historic place like that.

Your finds are to cool.

Is that one find w/the stones in it some type of winder perhaps? And those pics of where you hunt are the best. Makes you want to relocate!

All good.

The button shaped piece with the glass insert, if it has a loop its an 18th C cufflink piece.

The horse girl lives far away in the fields of barley in the north , and these vineyards are in the south of my city ... I came here to hunt for not having to see her gallop and suffer so much. :laughing7:

Yes Colin , was not bad for a previously rejected field and in just three hours, now I have to return to this area of the vineyards that I did not pay sufficient attention till now . ::)

Not everything is easy :-\ .... very hot, very mixed heritage laws and scrap a lot of trash by 2200 years ago, plus it takes an hour by train to hunt in these areas.
but when I get home and look at discovered findings I'm thinking about returning the next day, every day is a surprise and you never know which find is waiting for centuries on the field.

you asked about the findings with stones from the photo number five?
are pending and 18th centuries buttons to the 19th ,stones on the buttons of the shirts, brooches etc
Some are of value .. but not always.
