30,000 in halves planned for friday

Hi gentlemen, I did 5,000 in halves recently and liked the results, I called all the Wells Fargo and bank of America's near the border of PA and NJ and ordered halves for Friday,

In all I ordered 60 boxes (30K)

My gameplay is to hopefully do them all that weekend with the help of my grandson and return them all throughout the following week in NJ.

I originally wanted to do 30k-35k in halves a week so I am planning one week will be to buy boxes and the next return them.

We shall see how this goes.

Doesn't sound like an accusation.

Don't you want to see this too?

Saying "Pics or it didn't happen." sounds like an accusation to a mod...... Tallguy apologized which is nice......

I always like to see pics, but suggesting it didn't happen, will always get reaction.
I went over 5 years here without a camera.

Let's leave it at that

not TGB's error in judgement :coffee2:

I'm so confused, it doesn't matter if people notice if he's buying thousands of dollars worth of coins. They are banks, they carry money. He has money, thus he goes to the banks. If any of those banks have an issue with him turning the rolls back in then that bank is not doing their job.
That's like saying I go withdraw 50K for a car, but then the lot doesn't have the car I want, so I return to the bank and give them the money back, simple basic, daily transactions.
Does it make it difficult for fellow CRHs in the area, hell yeah it does. If I personally had that much money and was given the option to do the same thing, hell yeah I would. BUT, like a previous post said, I'd probably do it 1K at a time or something. I honestly don't know and neither do you folks until we all have 30K sitting around.
He's just a large sorter for those banks. PLUS, he's doing away with currency that they shouldn't even have, that they've accidentally gathered/mis-sorted.

i found a 3 cent peice in a roll of dimes...

I went to the bank and my teller gave me the extra 7 cents i was short.

they are members of a service industry, don't be afraid to ask them to do what they are paid to. As far as limiting the number of coins in circulation, you know there are companies who deal in armored trucks worth of coins at a time, so i doubt it will dry up with him buying a 30,000 order.

if the crh thing doesnt work for you anymore, you can open up one of those i buy gold shops that only pays 40 cents on the dollar and sends everything to the melter so it can never be traced. step brother lost his class ring to a pawn shop like that recently. apparently they grabbed the wrong one.

So have you gone thru them? What did you get?

I just reread and it IS legal to melt. Next time show pictures of that haul. WAY TO GO. Welcome to the club.

It was illegal at one time, to melt us silver coins. That has changed except in the case of nicks and cents. So a silver war nick is the only us silver that is illegal to melt currently. I hate for coins to be melted though. Rather see them kept and traded as bullion.

I beleive "digesting" is a current member in Tim Zims area who is disgruntled by his tactics/results. I dont think he is real at all.....just trying to get Tim's goat. Sad.

how do you order all of the halves
my bank will not let me do it

It takes report with the tellers and or bank/vault manager. Also some banks simply refuse to do it. I'd suggest try talking to the branch manager and if that fails try another bank.
That is all.

i found a dime in a nickel roll

[what are we talking about again]

I don't understand why someone would go to all the trouble of finding coins and then melt them down when they sell for a higher premium in coin form. That's absurd to me. Even %40's can sell for more than spot if you have a decent quantity and organize them. Cracks me up.

Don't let it bother you.. They key word that he used here is "destroyed" instead of saying "melted." Sounds like he is trying to get people worked up..

I have heard it IS legal to melt silver war nickles.

And BTW, since their is a precedent of 'Disingenuous persons' on this particular forum, don't be surprised that new characters in the mix are drawing suspicion. But I know the key words, and phrases to avoid - and particularly, what threads to avoid.

Anyone bragging about 30K is crazy, IMHO. I won't want anyone to know my metaphorical cards. Add precious metals to the mix, and mums the word.

Is there something we should know about the NYSE? Is there going to be another stock market crash? I'm kind of curious why someone who owns a brokerage firm would search through so many boxes of coins and not invest the money in the first place? Personally I wouldn't feel comfortable carrying around that amount of cash with all the "thugs" around these days. I don't know if your area has "gang" activity or not, just be careful and good luck. Being the owner of a brokerage firm, I'm sure you have a smart phone and I'm sure the good folks here would have no trouble helping you figure out how to post photos with your phone. Good luck and be safe.

Not to mention the fact that pics don't prove a dang thing. I could make claims all day long, and show pics of my hoard that I've had for years. Or I could put up pics of the boxes I've searched in the last year, easily $60k worth, doesn't prove a thing.

My thoughts exactly. And I do believe there is a word for it, but I can't quite remember what it is... it's on the tip of my tongue... I believe it starts with "T"...

But what did you GET out of the 30k worth of halves?
