Go with the 5x8, I have all three, and used the 5x8 all season. I think it should be the stock coil for the AT pro

Both are great coils it just depends if your hunting in a extremely trashy area, the sniper will shine, GL

Yea thanks, I've got the sniper on my F75 and it shines at a festival park. I'm kinda sorta just learning the Pro's VMI numbers, they're a little different than the white and Fisher but I do like the PRO and want to hunt the parks and old yards with it. Thanks a lot.

Im with Cooper I got a 5x8 on the pro it turns the machine into a whole new beast better balance, separation,a perfect in between from big to small, I mean If u need smaller grab the fisher

the 5x8. I have it on mine and LOVE it.

I'm a huge fan of small coils (most of my sites necessitate that). I run the 5x8 on my ATP full time and it works AWESOME. I would however like to try the 4.5" just don't know if I need one with how well the 5x8 works.

The sniper on the atpro is awesome , kinda like zooming in on a rifle scoop, the smaller coil you have. !

I to have been thinking about the sniper coil as seems about every place im finding is very heavy in trash or iron...approx.how much depth is lost with sniper

As for as my F75 with the sniper goes, I don't think there is much of a drop off in depth. On the Fisher the sniper isn't coming off. Its great after sitting in the closet for 2 years brand new in the box. It came with the F75 as well as the 11"DD.I've got a college and a park used for a big festival every year and the 4.5" sniper shines there. I set sens. to 75,disc. at 9 and run most in DE. I us BP some when I need to go slower. But back to the Pro. I think because of the popular 5X8 you guys have been talking about, I'll go with it first and then maybe look for a sniper. I sure thank you guy for the advice on my Pro. Happy Holidays and good hunting. Rook.

I have the AT GOLD with the 5x8 and I wouldn't use anything else!!! HH

Try the 5x8 first. I have one for the AT and I also have a 4x6 for the V3i. The 4x6 does great in the real trashy spots or in the woods in close quarters but man is it small. It takes forever to cover any ground.

Although I am not the thread starter, I appreciate all of your input. I just ordered a 5x8 for my ATP. :)

Mine isn't coming off either. The 5x8 is an amazing coil

The 5X8 is great, most guys won't take it off after using it. The 4.5 is especially good if you need to get near wire fences or close to playground poles.

I change out coils between my needs in the area's being hunted.. it's either the stock 8.5 x 11 or the 5X8 coil, never found the need to go smaller than 5X8 in the areas I hunt...

Agreed, not a fan of the 4.5. HUGE fan of the Garrett 5x8 Pro coil!

Received my 5x8 today! I only had a couple of minutes to test it and it is dead on with depth and location with The pinpoint function. Thanks again for all your input on this!
