Very rare to pull a wheatie this old in such good condition here in Oregon. Our soil really kills them! But I found this one where some old steps were...Protecting it, I assume. It was only 1" down ;D I also pulled another wheatie, I am trying to get a date off it...Dang Oregon soil! ::)

Yeah, everybody that has a metal detector in the Portland Metro area goes to Council Crest when they don't have anything private lined up. It is still giving out some old coins, but few and far between. I would say less then 1% of the coins I have pulled date pre-59's
