400+ lbs of copper cents,a bag full of wheats,looking for 1955DD,1943 Copper,59 Wheat

After reading on here about the 1955DD that was plucked, I finally got around to looking through my 400+ pounds of copper cents to sort out all the Wheats and CADS. While I probably didn't get them all, I found a full ziploc full of wheats.

Really, some neat finds. But not one 1909VDB, 1955DD, 1943 Copper, or 1959 Wheat. Are these finds just pipedreams, or are they still out there for the finding? Cents are fun, but Im done...for now.

you can probably find an 09 VDB just not an 09 S VDB, the 55 DD is very rare, and I think the 43 copper sold for 1.7 million ?

I wouldn't use the time either, halves are still the best ounce per hour (to "recoin" the phrase "bang for your buck")

I agree. The Philly VDB is the only one that you really have a halfway decent shot at finding.

Man, I couldnt get through that many pennies. You have grit. Most I ever did was 4 boxes and I just sorted out the wheats. Halves and dimes for me. Mostly halves.

You are more likely to find a 1877 IHC then a 1943 Copper..

I got a 1909 no S no VDB this year. Read my thread 1909 no S no VDB. Got it from BofA 89119. Sometimes BofA 2012s me. 2012 is a verb. The definition is when the bank gives you more than 70% brand new coins in your box.

I found a '43 copper. only thing is it's plated steel! Not the first time either. I sorted through 100 pounds of wheaties several months ago and found a few 1909 vdb's (no S) and a 1911s as my best picks, besides a few common date Indians.
