I finally reached 500, I actually started in 1979 but started keeping a record in 1980. I hunted until 1986, when I moved to Southern California. I only detected 3, or 4 times during that span, I moved back 10 years later. I was using a Whites 6DB hipmount, I still own it, and it still works! I hunted maybe 1 year, then a customer educated me about the Minelab Explorer series 3 years ago, and I was hooked again. So I really have hunted about 10, or 11 years, and pretty much the winter months only. I use a 1980 appointment book as a log, but I have covered the locations, where I hunt, {I hunt in the middle part of the country}, I recovered the 1919-D, for 499, then a 1926 as number 500. Some of my highlights: 1916-D, slabbed and graded by ANACS XF cleaned. Two 1925-D`s in AU,1928-D in AU, and a 1921-D in good. I have been on a hot streak lately, and I am getting ready to post more finds.
