try the kinzli forum. Some lower central valley folks chime in there. It's specific to CA hunting.

google is your friend. Do a google word search on kinzli metal detecting forum.

Once there, to get to the main page, you have to sign up. But it's easy. Just pick a name and a password.

There's also a fellow named "Tim" on the "friendly metal detecting forum" who's from the lower central valley. He goes by the avetar "tularetokens" Good guy. But if he starts spinning tales about him and his buddy finding a gold coin over in my area, don't believe it. He's having his paranoid delusions again, and must be off his med's
