100% right on checking holes again after finding a good target.
Several years ago I found 5 silver rings in 1 deep hole and some were even in the spent sand. As I checked the hole I'd keep getting a good signal and so kept digging "knowing" the target was still down there.
Always double check the hole and spent sand. I'm often glad I did.
Dang nice rings...
