In allot of Right Rib Pain Today, From Sundays Hunt Yet,
So I wasn't Convinced I Wouldn't Drive an Hour to Hunt for 5 Minutes.
& Couldn't decide even Where, But I left with 3 Ideas on my Mind.
& a 4th and 5th Choice popped in my Head as I was Following my Nose.

45 minutes up the road I came to a stop sign and threw all 5 ideas out the window and instead of going to any of them, I said a Dirty Word to Myself made a left instead of a right :coffee2:

& Went to a Spot I ignored for at least 6 Years, Maybe 12 years.

I really must do more research. Going where you *know* the story is always more interesting!

Good job!

Now that is a thread that well illustrates in depth research. A well used winter can map out an entire season of hunts that have a good probability of success. Thanks again Jeff. You are an educator for those who pay attention.

It's Funny Because I Hated School & Teachers So Much.
I Didn't do any Research for Them.
Took off most Test Days, Except Surprise Test Days.
Took off all Oral Report Days.
Took off all Book report due Days,
Took off all Butchering Worms & Frogs Days.
(can't eat Worms or frogs)
Yes I missed at least a 5th Of each year. :laughing7:

But I did Graduate. I knew how to Read , Write, Add & etc.

& Had enough Common sense to pass Tests I Didn't Study for.
I Guess Even While napping at my Desk, Or Spacing out in a Trance
While Watching the Clocks Second hand Spin. Something may have been Seeping in.

After I got out of School, I Started going to Libraries, & Also Buying local Histories ,
Eventually Got a Computer & Well Here I am :tongue3:
Learning is Awesome as Long as No one is saying I must.
and as long as I Like what I'm Learning:coffee2:

There are ball Fields all over my area.
& where there isn't; there was at one time.
even the tiny Village I live in had one in the '30's
alot of them were also used for Live Bird Shoot Competitions & Gambling.

a Few of them just Makeshift ball fields thrown together in Farmers fields,
and Mining sites. all have/had silver coin losses.
most of my Barber and Walker halves come from Ball parks.

by the late 40's, 50's Carnivals became a Big thing around here.
"called "Home Comings", closer to me, started right after WW2
and morphed into yearly carnivals, and occasionally Circus's.

Most of he Churches had access to Picnic Groves , Usually by Creeks.
and Covered Bridges. were used by all Churches within a few miles walking distance,
along with the Schools for picnics, in the 1800's early pre WW2.
some still have events.

We Even had a Picnic Grove behind My house, consisting of a Fresh Water Spring,
a Fire Place, Tire swing, & Used for a Penny Carnival.
back late 60's :tongue3: I even remember at least once, an Amish Buggy stopping to use the Spring.

Other picnic areas that get ignored by most, including Me, I hate to admit.
are on the top of every Mountain here. and consisted of a Small Pull off and a Picnic Table.

In the early days Cars used to Heat up going up Mountains.
And they suppose it started, Because people needed a spot to
let their car cool down.

Though some were just outside town.
and no where near a mountain. Almost all consisted of a Small Fireplace.
and of course a Picnic table

I remember as a Kid Mom Packing a Picnic lunch and dad driving us to one
for a quick Picnic :tongue3:

All are being reclaimed by Nature these days,
along with those of us who remember where they were

The problem, Almost, if not all were Litterbugs back then.
all used aluminum foil Religiously for wrapping sandwiches,
and for Lining the Fireplace for Hamburgs & Hot dogs.

& almost all those who Didn't just Leave it lay, Or crumple it up & Chuck it out of Site.
May have actually Buried it on site. add every other piece of trash left behind, or thrown from car windows. Don't know about other states, But PA seems to be the Litterbug Capitol of the World. Not sure why I never learned to throw my Trash out my Car. My floors of almost every car I had, became my Landfill :laughing7:
LMAO, my truck is a $40,000 rolling dumpster as well

When you take all your plans and chuck em out the window, well, that is what I call an ED (Executive Decision). When you have an hour or two hunt and walk out with a Wheat Cent and a Silver Merk... you made a good decision or have a hell of a Klinger nose :laughing7:. Congrats to you Jeff.
