9 days into 2008 and a pile of coins

I have been out 3 times since the first of the year a total of about 10 hours. Got some keeper coins, $10.99 clad, a scary looking ring (Fake of Course)and a sore back.
4 wilvers as Kirkpa calls em

, 1- 1909 injun -- not an s :'(

, couple of wheats, 2 buffalos, 2 war nickels and some, priceless No Cash Value Tokens-- WOW.
So far have been snunking my wet behind the ears son " Caleb in TN" He's getting the hang of that Explorer II slowly but surely though.
However my brother with his Pro XL always ties or one ups me. Just got the 5.75" widescan for my Vaquero and it kicks some serious butt. Seems to be close to as deep as the stock coil but man it picks the goodies out of the trash well. I will be posting more soon, if the weather holds and my back don't give out. LOL

You got lucky today Dad...
While I was hard at work ole Dad snuck off for a day of detecting with his brother. LOL
When I finally tracked em down at the end of thier FULL DAY of detecting they had enough coins between the two of em' to fill one and a half wheel barrels, and were all packed up to leave me hunting alone.
My twenty minutes of detecting got me five clad coins all late sixties and early seventies, and a few pull tabs, two tarp grommets, a couble light bulb ends, and some peices of lawn mower aluminum.
I think need to get an exclusive site just for myself so I can get one up on him!!!!
Maybe I need to glue some tin to the bottom of all his coils, that would get him good..LOL.
Oh well, maybe a cache of gold is waiting for me some where.
