hi all,

i just spent 30 minutes writing a detailed post and lost it! so, i'll make this quick and easy.

caught up with dan(captn se) and Mike(ratman) at an LA park and had a great day. first target was a wheat at 11 inches! a '39. ended up with eight silver dimes, 17 wheats and the beauty that you'll see below.

hunted for 9 hours.

Feelin' fine!

HH,

here's the clad from yesterday.
2 quarters, 18 memorials and 16 dimes. that doesn't include the few zincs that i found and threw away. if they are too corroded or bent to go thru coinstar, then i don't want 'em!
my objective when i go hunting is to find as few clad coins as possible. i pass shallow clad in search of coins that read at least halfway down my depth meter. although, one of my rosies yesterday was no more than 4 inches, but it sounded and ID'd as silver, so i dug. most of my oldies were around 6 inches on average, although every once in a while i'd get one at 7"+.

HH to all.

A fantastic silver coin day! From a public park no less.

You guys are rockin' it! Great photos too!

Congratulations!

Nice coins, love the standing lib quarter.

How deep did you have to go to find it?

I noticed you had what looked like a fairly deep hole that was pretty wide as well.

Very nice and congrats on the deep finds . My vaquero will find shot gun shells at a foot but I have yet to dig a coin close to that with it. They have to be down there.

hi bull durham,

the SLQ was about 6". thirty minutes or so before i found it, i took a break and got my camera out of my car, hoping to get a pic of a silver coin rim in the hole.
so, when i got this signal, i called Captn SE over to listen and he declared it silver. i proceeded to slowly but surely dig down to the target and expose at least part of it, to get a picture. i never thought it would turn out to be an SLQ!

"Dangerous" Dan would know best! :D

Sweet post Mike; I like the bonus pics... though now Dan's been exposed, someone might go gunning for him... :)

Speaking of "bangers", we're headed out to what's supposed to be a particularly nasty park on Tuesday; if you don't hear from us after that, we're dead.

Congrats on all the nice silver! :D You guys have it made in California finding multiple silvers all the time :o Great pics too!

Who is that? ???

Mike im truly glad you scored such sweet Silver from there, I spoke with Dan this afternoon and he gave me yesterdays rundown, To put it politly I sure wished i was there and not working ;D

Congratulations that is really awesome. I have never had a nine silver day before. I hope someday to be lucky enough to get a minelab detector, I think the extra depth would help a great deal here. But I am still not sure that I can find so many silver in one spot here though.

Great job!
