9 Silvers, V nickel 2IHs, and 2 Tokens,

[Vino]

Got out for a early morning hunt.
Was not sure were to go. So I drove down to a area that has been good to me. As I was driving I passed my old silver field when I noticed the back field that has always been over grown with 2ft weeds was cut short.
Well you know I made a u turn real fast. This use to be a swimming pond in the 1900s.
Well it didn't disappoint.
I will be going back again. It was alot of fun. As you guys know, I like the old stuff but hey, I will take what the detecting Gods want to give..lol
Enjoy the pics.
George

Nice haul on the silvers, cool looking tokens and enough wheats to make a loaf.

Yep, boy scout. From the excelsior shoe company. They made boy scout shoes, and put a token in every box. It was the first target I every found when I started detecting. Lol
This is my 4th. They are special to me. Haha.

What a great hunt George! Those '16 Mercs are heart stoppers while you look for the "D" haha, hopefully next time. Finding TWO barber quarters in one hunt is impressive, let alone a total of NINE silvers...that's amazing!

[Old Dude]

Hey, the old lead and buttons surely took a little of the edge off those " modern " coins, didn't they? Good hunt

I am happy to see you're finally learning what this hobby is supposed to be about ~ fun! Forget being successful and finding enviable old relics and coins and just be happy!

What were you doing there George, slumming? The detecting Gods must really like you. Even though there weren't any colonial coins, you sure got your share of the silvers and old coins.
