a couple firsts this week

the weather here has been beautiful so i have been getting out detecting more. yesterday as i was making my way towards the backyard i found a hose nozzle... in the back yard where i found the v nickel before, i found a canning jar lid (a first) and the top of a bottle... no idea what kind of bottle it was but it is certainly interesting... i also found some clamps... :P

today i was making my way down by the driveway too get back to where i was yesterday. i got an iffy signal and decided to dig it... first thing in the hole was a nail... then i ran my detector over it and got a nice sound. i found it and it was a penny lying tails up. i looked at it and could see that it was different. i got my first wheatie! 1944... its as old as my dad. lol.
then i dug a few more iffy signals which only turned out to be nails :P... then i made my way to where i wanted to be and found some odd junque... a doorknob and other unknown items.

I found one of those old nozzles last year. It still works. I plan on using it this year.
