Interesting.

It may help in any identification about the context of this find.

When you say "amongst tons of artifacts." What exactly does that mean?
What other artifacts?

Please provide more information about where this was found? How it was found, that sort of information please.

What type of rock do you think this is made from?

Simply saying "What is this"? Is like calling the doctor on the telephone, and saying "I hurt, look where I am pointing. What do you think is wrong?"

your first rock is definitely a "something". It looks to have been made on a roughed out rectangle and then a teardrop shape was pecked into the surface, with some details added. However I doubt it to be native american, were it so I would expect it to be better crafted considering the effort that was already put into it.
Thank you

I'm not sure why the pictures don't expand and all stay in the original size. Some are really out of focus and one can't get a sense of what it is or the detail. For example photo # 7 not helping the viewer in what you're trying to show.

Though I can now see in this one what you're trying to state. Pretty cool actually.

... the 1941 date is the clue I needed. That face rock is obviously the full face image of Kilroy before heading off to WW2. He was spotted everywhere there, peeking over an edge, only showing his bald head, beady eyes and big nose. He was considered graffiti but now has to be the worlds first meme.
Kilroy was here...

Some of the pictures look like grinding stones, (for acorns and grains perhaps) Similar features are common in Native American camps. This being an indication of civilization gives credence to the idea of the others being carved and not happenstance.
Possibly the stones can be dated by the patina of the surface. Exposed rock does deteriorate. Decomposed granite being one well known example. .
