I haven't posted anything here for a while in regards to pictures. So I figured I would add something to look at. It sounds like the mood may have lightened a little on the forum which is nice.
Here's a few pieces that I've acquired this year. These are all pretty well documented or from well known collections. And most of them I've known for quite a while or have chased around at one time or another. Anyway, the Ross Blade is from Schuyler County, Illinois and measures 6" long. The Thebes is from Adams County, Illinois and measures 5-1/4" long. The Hardin is from Van Buren County, Iowa and measures 5" long. The Agate Basin is from St. Clair County, Illinois and is 4-9/16" long. The dove isn't a huge one, but it's symmetry and style is fantastic. It's from Madison County, Illinois and measures 3-3/8" long.
I'm currently in China so acquiring pieces the rest of the year will probably slow down. I was also able to get out and find about a half dozen points this year. For northern Illinois in January and February that's not a bad haul. Usually we're snow bound during those months. I wont have much time to hunt in the next two years with living in China so it was nice to find the few that I did. I will post pics sometime.
Thanks for the looks.
