Went and hit a park that I hadn't been to in awhile on Monday....I went back into a hard to reach corner by the treeline, and pulled up this odd piece of lead...at first I thought it was a top to a fence piece, but once I got it home and cleaned it, the images became clear, and they were on the bottom, of what I had originally thought was the top. It is a very heavy piece, looks to be lead, and has decorative figures on each of the four sides...the top has a hole that maybe a pole or tube fit into, and the bottom comes to a small point, and looks to have the very tip missing...Can anyone help ID this?? The next piece came from way across the park at the far end and appears to be a butterfly brooch...there seems to be a darker spot on the back where the pin was attached. Not sure what type of metal it is, but appears to maybe have had a gold gilt on it at one point...then, a few yards away from that, I dug this star piece with holes in it that may have come from a belt...it is stamped not quite on center, and domed...was this for a belt? Any help always apprecieated.
As always, thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
