I went on a short hunt yesterday and revisited the button hotspot at the site where I found the early coin spill last fall. Nothing great turned up, but I was still digging a lot of buttons in an area I thought had been hunted pretty thoroughly. I bet I've personally pulled at least 200 buttons from this relatively small area not to mention the ones my friends have dug. The last time there I found a piece of cut silver so you never know what might come out.
Going up to Culpeper with my friend Reid tomorrow to try out my new GPX-5000 for the first time in the red dirt. Hopefully I can figure out what settings will work best, learn what good and bad targets sound like, etc, so I won't have to waste time the first day of the DIV hunt late next month. Will be an interesting experience for sure.

I should know what a 2 cent piece looks like, I dug 4 of them last year!
