Next time he's close...havin some of my lunch for breakfast I'll get a clear pic.thanks guys for the comments!
old digger...."catcher" comes pretty close, maybe 3-4 ft. sometimes. He/she will either sit on branch & catch or fly out & catch...pretty awesome! I've got "catcher" squirrels to! Don't even ask how many peanuts we go through. lol
monsterrack and painter.... thank you
TJE....oh yah...been through that "puzzle" thing already! How cute, you've got a feathered friend....ever take a picture of "George"? Love to see it!
So...old digger, that's the type of 'Jay'..that's CKs 'Catcher' is.Cool! So your Pinion Jay friend likes to catch peanuts, well that i interesting. How close will she allow you?
Well old digger, that's quite neat! All my past years working in the bush/Rockies, in Northern Alberta/British Colombia, I've not seen one. Guess if I do ever see one...have to tell everyone..'that's a "Catcher Jay"!...right CK! haha!Yes, I see them quite often when I am out hiking.

Some times/winters...I wish I could too!Late in the summer and fall they gather in larger groups as they migrate further south.
Now! that doesn't sound like a bad idea. Who doesn't love birds TNM!I wish we could do a bird section. My brother is a professional photographer and is doing the birds of the South East. Me? I point my phone at them as they fly by.
Maybe we need a place for pictures in the field with an occasional artifact insitu thrown in.
