Managed a few hours of digging yesterday with the girlfriend, hit a field I haven't done in a few years. Last fall Patriot, Iron Patch, Ironhorse and I hit this field for about 10 minutes only to find the grass too high to swing. I had previously found a couple George III coppers here, so I was hoping for something nice!
Finds were sparse and contained to a pretty small area just down slope from the foundation depression.
1815 Starr & Shannon token:
1832 Halfpenny:
Group shot, couple buttons, a blank copper, and a ring, which seems to have been made from a coin punched out and sanded down:

The plowed fields seem to make things bad faster but what are ya gonna do, not hunt?
That first hunt early Spring I'd say I was down to maybe 20% strength in both knees and once home had to put both feet on each step to walk up or down the stairs. It's probably a good thing I like sticking to the iron patch because racing around a field ain't going to happen too much now.
