A few unusual finds!

[DiggerinVA]

Some finds from this weekend...some from my yard..some from a new spot(old homesite). The old homesite must have been a watch/clock repair shop since this is only a few of the watch parts found. Also picuted are 1881 Indian, 1912 and 1947 wheats, 49' nickol, 1943 UK 1 sheling, 1945 British 1/2 penny, a early Va. Forest Warden Badge, an early Marine Corps button and some modern coins. Thanks for looking....

Anyone know an age on the Marine corps button

There has been very little change in the front design of the Marine Corps buttons and as such without a maker's mark from the back very difficult to give a specific date.

As a SWAG I feel your button could date anywhere from WW1 - Korean War as it appears to look like a flatter style two piece button.

Some additional pics to include the back would be helpful of course.

Good stuff! I love the 1881 Indian.
How is the weather in Va.? Here in Wi. we have had a bitter winter, even for us. -8 degrees last night in the Milwaukee area.

It will be a while before the ground thaws enough for me to go Swingin' & Pingin'

[DiggerinVA]

We have had 50's one weekend and single digits the next...but overall a pretty cold winter. Calling for 8-10 inches of snow tonight so wont be out for a while i guess......Thanks for looking!
