A frugal guide to making Scoop magnet

A Scoop Magnet for the frugal. I got all the parts at the local hardware store less than $4.00

There are magnets in different sizes I opted for the 16 pound rating (if the bobbi pin is bigger than that its time for ice cream)

Also look at the magnet and choose the one with the hole in the center before you leave the store

If your wondering what the green thing is, its a Wally World Swimming noodle the trick to get it on the handle cheap dish soap and lots of it.



You need one Stainless Steel machine bolt between either 1 inch or a 3/4 inch two Stainless steel fender washers a stainless steel nut and locking nut and a vacuum line cap

The Magnet goes inside the scoop() with a fender washer and the bolt through the center




On the outside use one fender washer, the nut and locking nut



It should look something like this





Use the vacuum cap to over the exposed bolt.

You can use epoxy or silicone to hold the cap in place
