Hello to all!
Another clear and sunny day in Michigan let me get out again. I had a game plan to hit some schools in a district that I have never been. I went to three different schools and all of them had pea gravel in the play areas so I didn't hunt them as my old trusty Garrett does not fair well normally in pea gravel. Fortunately, I had a backup plan also so I hit the last school in another district that was left on the list that I hadn't been to yet.
The playground was under construction but there was one nice size play area to cover. I found quite a few targets and found two keepers here. The first was a small 925 pendant with a large CZ stone. The second, a sweet 14kt earring. This is large a heavy and has a amethyst stone. Having a piece of gold in my pouch, I was happy for the day. There were a lot of trinkets here, a couple junk rings, 2 earrings, a pin, and 10 pendant/fobs.
I was on my way to try and find another school when I passed a small park with a couple nice play areas so I stopped in. This place was loaded and must not have been searched in a long while. I was only there an hour and was digging constantly. A couple nice keepers. First, by the swings a really pretty 10k gold ring popped out. It has a light blue stone, blue topaz maybe and a couple small diamond chips. Woowhoo!! Then a heart stopper, a very large tennis bracelet was found by one of the slides. It was silver colored and loaded with diamonds. Hoping it was gold and real diamonds, but no. It's hallmarked 925 and also CZ, but still a really sweet find, very heavy.
All in all, a great day. 3 hours hunting time, all the nice keepers, $8.62 clad with 178 coins.
Now the bad news... near the end of finishing covering the play areas at the park, my old trusty Garrett machine started acting up. It was pulsing false signals and I couldn't get it to work right while I was there. I will have to look at it today and try to get it working right again. I do have an ACE250 but I really love using the old machine in the woodchip areas as it lets my be a lot more efficient.
Best of luck to you all, HH! Thanks for reading! Here's a few photos of yesterday's fines.

Just a great day for finds. What sort of Garrett do you use? Please go back to all my posts and help me figure out what I'm doing wrong with mine
