Of quartz, I prefer chert cause it’s colorful but it’s hard to pass up a quartz point. The old guys who chose to work quartz were masters at knapping. I’ve heard it’s tough to make a quartz point that you can actually recognize the type of.

Most quartz points that you find in Georgia will be Archaic or older. Some other periods utilized it as well but mostly the Morrow Mountain culture used it along with quartzite

That one is a type of quartz kinda feels like Sugar Quartz
