A hunt with Vino, IH, wheat, bling, ornate relic, and heart clock?

George invited me up to re hit a spot we were doing last week, niceeeeeeee. I found four wheats, a 1909 Indian Head Cent, a bling pin brooch, marble (a first for me), a door knob (very ornate design) and a "heart clock". I have the finds soaking I'll do a clean up after dinner (have to feed the machine) I love these finds, always grateful for what ends up in my pouch. We had allot of laughs as usual, George found some nice things (in my book) I really have to hand it to George, he goes out of his way to take care of me. I really like the hunting team we have become, he finds it then tells me how to find it, lol. Thanks George, two more days, another machine in my golf bag!

That's it I'm taking Friday off and going to one of my old sites. The site I found my 1760 HIBERNIA at and my patriotic button. I also pulled 3 large cents and a counterstamped copper. Bunch of indian heads. That was pretty early in my career and I'm sure there's lots more there that I missed. You've inspired me to go back

In my short career I have learned that different machines work better in different soil conditions on different days with different humidity levels. Even the AT Pro might surprise you. Now don't sick the dog on me, I'm not talking bad about anyone's machine, but wait until you see what this XP Deus can do!

Unfortunately hunting season starts this coming weekend. Being in the woods in Maine for that month is dangerous business my man. And you are right on about the changing conditions. But I have also found that learning different settings on one machine for different conditions can pay off big time. I also will tell you that set up correctly this lil inexpensive T2 SE can you down to China. I'm telling you watch Beau with his T2 SE. That's where I learned the China setting lol

Hunting season is why God invented ORANGE. I hunt, just have to go more in the middle of the day, most guys only hunt a couple three hours a day around dusk and dawn, during those six hours is not proper etiquette to be roaming around the deer woods.

Thing is, I love being in the woods this time of year. The leaves blow and rustle underfoot. The air is clean and crisp. I love to take a rifle and go out hunting just to find a place to nestle down into some clean dry pine needles and take a nap.

As a deer hunter i have never come across a meter detectorist in the woods, I have to admit, I'd probly be upset if good deer hunting was ruined by noisy detecting lol and I love both hobbies

I'm sure, just like here, there are spots to detect where there is not hunting going on.
I took a nap one afternoon with my lab while we were bird hunting, slept like a baby on those pine needles

Abe, I am now positive that the two of us think alike. I was sitting here imagining a conversation between Vino and Brad. It went something like this.

Brad: Oh, thank you Vino for inviting me up to hunt with you again. You're the best metal detectorist I know!

Vino: Oh no Brad, I think you're better then me. And wait till you get your new Deus, I won't be able to keep up with you.
