A "hunted out" park gives up another silver.

I hit an old park from the late 1800s today. This park has been hunted hard. Finds are far and few between, but every few hunts it gives up a goodie or two.

The last time it was a silver merc. 2 times before that was an indian. Today it was this ear ring.

I'm thinking it's pretty old. It was about 4" down.

That's one beautiful earring find Sean! :notworthy:

Looks to be in the "Art deco" style!

Art deco ‎is an eclectic artistic and design style that began in Paris in the 1920s and flourished internationally throughout the 1930s, into the World War II era. The style influenced all areas of design, including architecture and interior design, industrial design, fashion and jewelry, as well as the visual arts such as painting, graphic arts and film. The term "art deco" was first used widely in 1966, after an exhibition in Paris, 'Les Années 25' sub-titled Art Deco, celebrating the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes (International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts) that was the culmination of style moderne in Paris. At its best, art deco represented elegance, glamour, functionality and modernity.

Art deco experienced a decline in popularity during the late 1930s and early 1940s, but had a resurgence during the 1960s. It continued with the popularization of graphic design during the 1980s.

Very nice,
Dave

Keep hitting that place. I have a park like that here in town, and it's sill turning out silver like it's virgin, even though I've hit it hard for over 5 years. Nice finds!

Nice find Sean , The earring is nice ! it is not older than 70's or 80's - the 925 designation
puts it in this contemporary date range . the style of the french wire is also quite new . Argentium.

That is very nice. I grew up in Manchester till I was 9. There's a few old parks there glad to hear they still give up the goods. I found a beautiful 1902 IH when I was 9 in one of those parks with my uncle. I still have that coin.
