A Little More Silver & A Great Video....MMMMmmm, Tasty!!!

Hello Fellow Tnetters,

I went back out to the park where I scored 5 silvers and 15 wheaties just a few days ago, but this time my buddy and master video editing guru, Jon (goldenapples), joined me for the hunt. We both had a blast. :occasion18: Jon made a great video of the day's digs....you'll even see me enjoy a bit of tasty silver... :laughing3: This little area of the park has produced 11 silver coins and over 30 wheats in just a couple of hunts.

Thanks, Jon, for filming and editing another great video of DEEEP digging with the Explorer detectors....9-10" signals? No problem if you know what you're listening for.

I hope you enjoy our film.... Again, for the Exp. newbies, this video should help to better identify those sweet sounds of deeper coinage, and give you some pointers/techinque for deeper digging in the turf!

Thanks Everyone!!

HH,

Dan

Nice silver, cool video.

Re: A Little More Silver & A Great Video....MMMMmmm, Tasty!!!

Awesome finds!!!! ;D I loved the video! What probe are you using?

Re: A Little More Silver & A Great Video....MMMMmmm, Tasty!!!

Thanks, Hunter, Detectingfreak, Allen!!

Detectingfreak, I'm using Sunray's X-1 target probe for the Explorer series of detectors. It's an inline probe, which uses the machines battery. There's a toggle switch which engages either the machine's coil or the probe. Can't live without it. It's a great aftermarket item.

Dan,

You rock, man, you rock! The video was awesome, the day was beautiful, and your digging habits are incredible! :) :D

You never cease to amaze me with your excavating skills. I hope EVERY Minelab user is studying this film and learning from a true pro. You totally take advantage of what your area has to offer and you never disappoint! You are the John Walter of the west coast! If John lived in CA, he would probably say, "Hunt along the ocean!" :D

Dan, I hope you strike more wilvers in the future! Thanks for the video and take care, my friend!

Great video Dan and Jon. There is NO better learning tool than IN field advice and digs like you guys are doing. I bet every explorer user who views the video will have a better idea of what deepies sound like.

Thanks, Jon. Yes, the Washington wasn't that bad!! :tongue1: Warning, though, don't try putting oxidized silver in your mouth...It leaves a terrible aftertaste!! :sad1:

Thanks, Bryce. Glad you liked the Vid. Hope you're able to get another one of those 1-2 hr hunts in soon.

Cool video! Definitely an inspiration for me to get out there despite my meager finds. And one last thing, BEAT THAT DIRT UP. TELL IT WHO'S BOSS!

Dan & GA-
Thanks for another great detecting video. I'm going to go pop some popcorn and watch it again. My wife always gives me this strange look when she hears those flute noises coming from my computer. It drives the dog nuts too. :tongue3:  ;D
Great hunt Dan.

Great videos Capn. I was waitin for the pied piper to jump out with some rats in a trance.....HAHA

Seriously though, great videos and I like the little tool you have for holding the plug back. I have something similar to that that is used for putting plugs into tires. I could use that....Thanks for the idea and the silver you pull with that bad boy is awesome

Thanks Weasel and Codes!! Yes, I do pound the ground with my fist from time to time. Maybe that's why my hand is so swollen in the morning... ;D

Great hunt Dan.
-Doug-

Thanks, Doug. Hope you're enjoying your popcorn. Yes, those sounds can get a little annoying when you're listening to them from the confines of your home, but out in the field, they are the sweet sounds of silver bliss!!

Cool vid, and nice digs,

Thanks, lonewolfe. Appreciate your response.

Thanks, Sentinel. The probe I'm using is called an EZ-Digr lucky buffalo T-handle probe. The maker places a dated buffalo nickel on one side of the handle for good luck. Here's his site.
