Thought I'd try out the low and slow approach today. Means more work. Digging those low, iffy signals means more bending down, digging, getting up and usually for mostly foils/slaw/pulltabs. I figured I could handle it, at least for a couple hours.

The overall take of worthy targets goes down too. But.......the surprise that can come makes it worth the effort.

Just as I was about beaten to death, I turned for the car and this presented itself, a simple penny vdi :

As I held it and admired, giving my thanks, I just had the biggest grin! :laughing7:

Isn't that wonderful!?!?

The take might have been a little bit less.

But.....somehow....I feel pretty durn satisfied!

Thanks for peeking!

Great looking finds. I'm hoping the ring is gold & the nicely cut Marquise stones are real. The turtles are cool too. Emeralds? But the
Spiro "Ted" Agnew campaign piece is very interesting. From County Exec. to V.P. of the U.S. Did you find that in the ground too ?

Stunning ring Whadi, congratulations! Any markings on the inside? Gonna test the stones? Please keep us informed. For us Garrett riders, those "Low Tones Jones" signals can be rewarding. And yes, that is why we dig those penny signals too! Sub 8-)

Excellent hunting and find!! I have one questions; how the heck do you lose a ring that big? I always wonder how things end up where they do.

To the persistent goes the prize!
You never cease to amaze with your varied methods to coax those goodies out of their hiding places.
Yes do test the stones.

Very happy you had a nice walk with nice prize toward the end. Maybe it was luring you back to the car.
