Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
My week consisted of hitting the plantation house at lunch and concentrating on the driveway area. Visions of horses and buggies pulling up in front of the house back in the day kept running through my mind. Of course I didn't find anything that old, but I did find:
*1918 Merc
*1919 Wheat + asst'd 40's & 50's wheats
*Old brooch or earring.

Today, RWSNC (Bob) and I hit a country house that will soon be demolished to make room for some companies head office on the 100+ acres. See video.
I hit this place at the end of last year and found a couple of large eagle buttons and some silver dimes.
Bob found a nice old token, so keep an eye out for his post later.
The owners little boy was there watching us, and LOVED it. He will soon be asking for a detector for his birthday. ;D
I found asst's junque:
*Some NC Wildlife Resource Commission Fish Net Tags - 1954 & 1956
*Timex watch
*Pistol lighter
*A springy thingy. For the hair maybe???? Any idea?

Nothing great this week, but the Merc was a nice oldie to find.
Thanks for looking,
MM

Awesome merc and video Doug :o

You guys needed the good old Ace 250 there.

Are you planning on going in the AM? (I`m available ;D )

Nice finds! I could have a pouch full of junk, and one little piece of silver can make the whole thing beautiful, but you have some neat personal relics plus a shiny mercury dime!

Way to go,
V

It's a shame to see place's like that go Doug.....Awesome find's though, never telling what you'll come up with at that site. How bout' some Capt SE shuffling in the next video  The first MM Action Flick!!!!.Nice Job!!!!

Very kool digs ya found there,

Doug, I loved the video, my good buddy! You have shown that, with patience and persistence, great artifacts can still be excavated. I can't wait until your hunt in Indiana in August!

Keep the videos a coming, buddy!

A little late to the party, but here's my meager finds of the day, with Modern Miner.

This looks like a Grover Cleveland Presidential token, front and back. Apologies... the pictures aren't very
good.

The other pics are of a pretty neat cap gun (one like I had when I was a kid (in the 50's) and some kind of propeller. It's not wood. Not really sure what it is or what it came off of. It feels like it might be corroded chrome, but it's kind of heavy like lead.

Thanks Nick.
I'm kind of just killing time at the plantation until fall. Have you been able to get out at all?

Thanks Civil. You should have seen the beautiful house and barns across the street that are going to get leveled too. :'( A real shame.
I've been working on my dance moves for my future vids. :o ;D

Thanks Big Guy.
I'm not giving up until every "beep" is gone at that plantation property. ;D
Thanks for your ra-search help on that old school in Indiana. Hopefully I'll find the spot. I'll have more time to devote to MDing this time around.
If I could find an old coin field like you guys, Merf, and Buckles, I'd be one happy camper.

Bob,
Sorry no silver today, but that token was a great find. I will trade you the wheats & 1918 Merc for it. ;D
We'll get em' next time.

Yeah... thanks to you and Bill, I'm starting to come down with a bad case of "silver envy" :'(

Great finds boyz! A big Congrats!
Loved the vid.
Doug, where the heck is that place, is it near work? ( No. I'm not gonna sneak over there and MD. lol)
Its a shame that it is going to be destroyed. I'd love to own a place like that.
If I owned a homestead like that, we'd have a MD party every weekend. All would be welcome to dig up the yard. ;D
Of course, when it was time to plant flowers, ya'lls strength and shovels would be welcome too. lol.
Thanks for sharing the finds and the vids.
Looking forward to more of them.

Nice finds MM
A good hunt for sure.

Cool deal Doug! Nice Videos and nice finds!!!

Doug, cool video! I love the "vintage" pistols and glad you struck some silver

Take care & HH!

Wow, Doug, you're so fortunate. You get to hunt very old homesites, and the range/age of finds are so vast. I'd give anything to get my coil over ground like that.

Congrats on finding a silver. Thanks for another video of one of your detecting areas.
