Thought you all would like to see this beast from the east. This has been handed down from my Great-Great grandfather who was born in 1895.And he found it as a young boy here oystering. Was caught in a dredge in the middle of Pamlico Sound. The white you see on it is oyster shell still stuck to it.The piece is 6 1/2 inches long & 2 1/2 inches wide.Although me & my dad have been at this, for him over 50yrs as he is 64 now & me 30yrs. 39 now neither of us has toped this find. And I always think of it when oystering as that is something I still do & also handed down.
