Went out and hit an old park yesterday...was supposed to go and hunt it last week with a fellow Tnet hunter, but was sick...Since I was off work, I decided to go and see what I could find....Park is pretty close to where I work, and was dedicated in 1928 I believe...I started hunting by a row of huge trees when I got my first target...Turns out to be a wheat cent, ('51)! Finally, my first wheat of '08..Next I spotted some glass sticking out of the dirt, and pulled it out...turned out to be a glass bottle stopper, then, only a few more feet away, I spot another one! Next target turned out to be a rusted pocket knife...I then pull out three more wheats ('57, '41, '35)..I only pulled out 6 all of last year, so I feel that I am now on fire! Found a good amount of clad, about $1 worth...then another eyeball find...I see a piece on the ground next to a large tree, and I am pretty sure I know what it is, but can't believe I found one in the park...it is an organ reed! Broken, but still recognizeable... then I dig up a flattened lipstick tube that appears to be made of thin brass, and still retains some of its' gold gilt! Not too far from that and I dig up a first...an Oklahoma Tax Token! Have no idea how old, I know they made these from around 1931 up until about 1961..My final good signal of the day was a small compact that is intact, and I will try to get it open in the next couple of days...looks to be made of copper, with a sort of art deco feel about it...says Made In U.S.A. on the back and the front reads Luscor I believe...can anyone help with this? Also, any info on the tax token is appreciated as well...My hunt ended a bit early when the intermediate shaft on my detector decided to snap in half (it is what connects the bottom of the coil shaft to the main shaft, a sort of "dowel rod" between them), so I packed up and went home...Gotta get this thing fixed, or I may just break down and buy a new detector...gotta be ready for the Bayou hunt coming up!
As always, thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

No info for you on the token. But nice assortment of finds.

Baggins,
Sorry to hear about your detector. Great mix of finds. I love that tax token and pink colored glass stopper. Very cool.
Congrats,
MM

I found that same compact too. It is Luxor. I have not had any luck getting it open. That is all I know about it.

Glad you got the 5 Mill (1/2 Cent) token, which is copper, instead of the 1 Mill that is aluminum. 5's hold up much better. Hard to believe with today's sales tax rates that not that long ago you needed fractional cent tokens.
