I spent the weekend at my private spot and found another area that is giving up silver. It's like a trip back in time. In 2.5 hours on Sunday, I picked up 2 silver Washington quarters (1939-D, 1945-D), 5 Mercury dimes, 2 silver Roosevelt dimes, 1 Liberty nickel, 1 Buffalo nickel, and 23 wheats. There was another $3+ in clad. On Monday, I spent 4.5 hours and found 2 Walking Liberty halves (1944, 1947), 4 silver Washington quarters (1941, 1942, 1943, 1944), 8 Mercury dimes, 7 silver Roosevelt dimes, 2 war nickels, 1 Buffalo nickel, and 37 wheats.
In one hole, I found 2 silver quarters, 5 silver dimes, the war nickels, and the Buffalo nickel. I wish I'd had a camera for that. Unfortunately, I don't have one to take pictures and put them up here. Every time I try, the site complains that the file is too big, so I'm not going to bother anymore.

Re: A Silver Weekend

hey awesome finds , I'm also from western NY (lockport) try opening the picture in a picture editor, i use infraview, at the top click image ,then re-size , i usually re-size to half , and save. try just viewing the file on your PC,and see if whatever program opens the file has a re-size option. keep finding that silver

Re: A Silver Weekend

If you have a picture editor program, you can crop the picture which reduces the file size. Don't give up - we want to see those coins!

Re: A Silver Weekend

9 Silvers in one hole must be a record. I am officially calling you the current record holder of most silver coins in one hole. Congratulations. Send me directions to that site and I'll meet you there with your medal.

I added a picture to the original post so you wouldn't have to scroll to the bottom to see it. This is just to get the post back to the top.
