I had several of my Ft Ancient trays out so I could gather up my Antler a Drifts for a group picture and figured while they were out I would take some news pics.

I figured I might as well share them.

The 1st picture is all of my Antler Drifts, except 2 I missed, for 83 total.
The 2nd is the trays on the table.
The 3rd is some Drifts and Bone Beads from the Hardin Village Site in Greenup county Kentucky.
The 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th are all from the Fuert Site in Scioto county Ohio.
The 8th is from the Schisler Site located just below Lucasville, Ohio and the Webster Mound in South Shore Kentucky.
The 9th is from Butler county Ohio.
The 10th is from the Hardin Site.
The 11th is from the Goldcamp Site in Lawrence county Ohio.
The next 4 are a Turtle Pendant, nice Triangle, and Shell Gorget in the 1st. Drill Deer Toe Tinklers in the 2nd. A Tallied Bone Awl and Drifts in the last two.

That's a STELLAR looking group GR!!!!!!!! I truly miss visiting my friend Paul in Cleves. I couldn't get over how many Ft. Ancient pieces he had found not 5 mins from his house. We'll get lucky and find hamilton and madison every so often over here but that's all. Before he passed I was able to find a nice lil frame full of awls, tinklers, drilled teeth and a fish hook that I will ALWAYS cherish!!!! Thanx for putting a smile on my face bud......

Outstanding grouping. I especially like the piece with the tally marks.

I miss seeing Paul at the shows too. It was always fun and very informative to listen to him talk about the Ft Ancient culture. The man knew his stuff. Do you know how Judy is doing? I don't think she was at the Ripley Ohio artifact show last year.

A taste? More like a smorgasbord! Nice!

Thank you. Don't want to sound like I'm bragging but that is just the tip of the iceberg of my Ft Ancient collection. At one time I had five Village sites with 10 miles of my house that I had permission to hunt. I have since lost 4 of them and have limited access on the last.

I really enjoy looking at your artifacts and for whatever it's worth I don't think anybody thinks you are bragging on our end we are thankful to get to see them. Thanks Grim!

It takes time to post these pictures and I appreciate it. Collecting is a lot more fun when you can share with like-minded people. If you have more (which is all the more amazing), please throw 'em on here when you have time, Grim.

I speak with her every so often. She seems to be doing well. I know she misses going to shows and talking with everyone.

Here's a few more pictures of some of the collection. This is all the Pipes I have found. The Trade Pipe (not Ft Ancient) came from a site near Aid Ohio and the others are all from a FA site in Scioto county Ohio.

The two Pipes pictured individually are Effigy Pipes. One has a "mouth" incised in the bottom and the other is a Phallic Effigy. Both of these are made from a fine grained Sandstone. The white one is made from Limestone and the small red one is Pipestone.
