Went water detecting today to beat the hot weather at a creek. My first find was a vintage Simmons pad lock. I also found a bronze statue of an eagle. It's about 12" from wing tip to wing tip. It's pedestal and one wing tip is broke off but I'll take it.

Did a google image search & found it at Worth Point web site. It's a Franklin Mint Bronze Sculpture Majesty by Ronald Van Ruyckevelt . So now I know how its's suppose to look with it's pedestal.

Who would toss a bronze eagle in a creek? That’s crazy! I hope it’s nice enough to restore. Great find!
That area is a party zone. Some homeless people stay there sometimes. I'll find things in that area that don't make sense. I think some of the items I find there are probably stolen?

Thanks Bill
I have a feeling I'll be spending a lot of time at the creek this summer. I'm thinking about investing in a snorkeling mask so I can detect the old swimming holes.
Sounds exciting Ed..
I’m confident that you will recover some great treasures
Best of Luck
