A walk, some clad, a ride and a lil post Christmas surprise

Yep, snuck in yet another hunt for 2013. (I'm gonna keep trying until I can't! )

Went to just a favorite modern park. There's almost always a few targets, just not a lot of old ones.

I went around for about 3.5 hours, not a lot but nice as always.
Got an interesting joke played on me today. I was just getting ready to finish up so
I said, "Lord? I'm pretty tired now. So, an exit find would be nice."

The very next hit? I got this:



Made me giggle. LOL

Here's the overall:



Not a lot but not too bad either. (I've done LOTS worse! )

Anyway, just before leaving, (where have I heard that before? )

I got this strange hit. I dug and when it popped to the surface I said, Hmmm a nickel?! Sure didn't sound like a nickel.

It wasn't until I got it home and was able to clean it up a bit, did I know.
Most will recognize the pattern.



Then, I flipped it over and got a pleasant little boxing day surprise.



I looked at this coin and actually said to it, "Now what the heck were you doing there!?!?" LOL

Kind of like this hobby's lil surprises.

Yep, definitely "rays". Not only that, but, in person and with a good magnifier/light/angle. I can see 1866.

One just NEVER knows, do they?

Yeah, "wow!" Same thing I said when I looked it up and saw $30,000 at ms67! YIKES!!

Sooooo.....anyone know how to polish this thing back up to uncirculated? LOL

Before it was a park , it had to be used for something else .

Also a nice stack of quarters [ if if not gonna be silver it might as well be Quarters] much better than digging 25 penny's
