A good friend of mine is moving to Puerto Rico soon and wanted me to liquidate the stuff that couldn't come down with him. Sure enough I drove over there today and somehow managed to cram 8 rather large boxes of stuff into my car. Best part is I didn't pay a dime. He's letting me hold onto these and sell them on consignment. The higher end stuff we will split, while I get to keep all the profits from the lower end bottles.

Here are some pictures.

That's all for now. Will spend the next few days looking through the rest of the boxes and cataloging all the bottles. We will see what other stellar bottles are lurking in the depths of cardboard:thumbsup:

Wow Rob, that's going to be a fun job. The first 2 are just fantastic. I also like the amber Kerns. There is enough cobalt glass there to make some walking around money

There looks to be some good money in there I would say! Some killer stuff! Please let me know if anything from Illinois pops up! Congrats on that killer score!

He's a good man, nice of him to do this before the big move....

Out of all those bottles, the Congress water is the best in my opinion, given that there is usually never any glass rot, they always come our looking good

Thanks for the replies!

Bass- I was very surprised when I opened a box and it was filled with those PPs and Bromo seltzers! I usually sell them in Ocean Grove to make more money on them. Couldn't get rid of them at north east bottle shows!

Kingskid- It's almost as much fun as digging!!

Bottleworm- Thanks! You will be the first to know if any Illinois stuff pops up. Got a Chicago milk inside one of the boxes. Picture will be uploaded soon.

Epackage- Very grateful for Kens kindness! He's even letting me visit again next weekend to pick up a few more boxes.

Muckybottles- Your right, I've never seen a sick Saratoga before. Wish mine had Columbian Water embossed somewhere on it!!

Some more close-up pictures

2 different Richmond Pickle co bottles. Can any VA collectors give me some information on these?

Those pickles are great

Looks like a full time job ya have on your hands!

And no back breaking dirt removal! Sweet! Love em all. I'm sure there are some killer sleepers in that collection that will bring you and your buddy some up to date beer cash! Nice, very nice. jgas

Thanks Bass, basque-man, and jgas!

Jgas- You are right!! Although Ken dug most of this stuff, he gave them a through cleaning as soon as they were plucked from the ground. Glad I can just catalog and not worry about cleaning and tumbling.
