AFTER 40 YEARS, MY FAVORITE SITE GAVE UP IT'S 1000TH SILVER!

I've been hunting this site for 40 years...since I was 16...and it finally gave up silver #1000! :occasion14:
I remember coming here back in 1979 as a sophomore in high school, and finding my first silver with my Bounty Hunter 840 VLF/TR. I've pounded it over the last 40 years with my Whites Eagle, Eagle Spectrum, Fisher CZ-5, CZ-6, CZ-6a, CZ-7a, CZ-70pro, Minelab Explorer 2, Explorer SE pro, and E-Trac. I used to leave here quite often after a days hunt, with 10+ silver...but the last couple of years, I'm lucky to leave here with just one every two hunts or so. The signals are TOUGH...as they should be after 40 years of pounding. I hunted for 6 hours to find silver #1000 from here, and yes I dug a few rusty nails in the process.:laughing7:
The good thing is, when a coin does pop out, it's usually an oldie like this 1890 Seated dime. :icon_thumright:
I couldn't think of a better way to hit silver #1000 from the same site, than this old beautiful seated coin.:angel7:

My buddy Dave also did well, pulling a nice 2-center and an old indian...and my beautiful wife hit her 2nd ever silver coin, with the old war nickel. Best part is, we all had a blast, and Hercules enjoyed the 70 degree weather.:angel11:

Nice finds but you hide where you are from? Why?

Congratulations! I've got about 4 years into this hobby so 1000 silver coins is a few years out for me at any rate...
Thanks, and good luck on your future hunts.

Congrats on the very nice Seated. You certainly have done well there over the years pulling all those Silvers. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, friend. I appreciate the kind words.

That's a stellar seated dime! Same year as the one I just found and I dare say I think yours is in better condition than mine! Congrats! 1000! I'm at 63 lifetime over 3.5 years. To get to 1000. Could take the rest of my life at this rate!
Thanks for the congrats. Good luck on your upcoming hunts. I hope you uncover some more silver.

That’s just insane, congrats on a very cool milestone!
My best site has only produced 60 measly silver coins in the last 10 years. Lol
Thanks J. Nothing wrong with 60 silver from a site. I'd say that's good hunting.

Damn..that's a lots of years and a lot of silvers....You deserve much credit!
Thanks...much appreciated.

Thanks, Jeff. I always appreciate your kind words, my friend.

Thanks...but I don't hide ANYTHING?? I'm confused as to what you are asking or implying.

Remember the good ol’ days of people asking silly questions on the forum? Welcome back Mr. B...:hello:

What kind of site yields 1,000 silver coins? A park? Baseball field? Amusement Park? Picnic grove?

People post threads and in their profile don't say where they are from. I like to see where they are from and if it makes sense they found something that should be there. Why do you hide where you are located?

Congrats on that milestone silver from the same hunting grounds. Can't beat a Seated coin. Congrats to Mrs.silverfreak and friend Dave on their finds also.

That’s an awesome site! I’m not gonna ask but that musta been a popular place to have that much coinage on the ground. Congrats!

Congrats on your 1,000th silver......I don't much care about where you are from but I guess I don't really understand the secrecy of "what kind of a site" do you find 1,000 silver coins on as at least 4 people have asked so far....fairgrounds?......ballfield?.....church property?.....Brink's truck rollover crash site?

And just a guess but if you found 1,000 silver coins it would probably be safe to assume you have found at least 1,000 non-silver coins......so when you're on here posting those kind of numbers you can reasonably expect to get asked that question....I, like most people on here, like helping other people.....well, congrats again on your unbelievable coin total.

HH all!

Greg

If I found 1000 silver coins in one spot I wouldn't tell anyone where either lol. Keep rippin my friend. Glad your dog made it through they are family for sure. Tommy

Thanks, my friend. My wife was thrilled with the war nickel. I haven't dug one of those in a very long time.

Thanks, and yes it's been a blessing over the years.

Thanks for the congrats, but actually...no...I didn't expect to get asked...and I personally would not ask someone...I would just be happy for them.

Not to come across as rude, but it doesn't matter to me whether why I choose to keep my site type private, is understood or not. It's my right. As for me possibly not being willing to "help other people" because I choose to not reveal my site type? That statement speaks for itself. Anyone who knows me, or has viewed my previous posts here on Treasurenet...looked at my informative articles and field tests in Western & Eastern Treasures...and seen my freely given personal settings in Andy Sabisch's Minelab Explorer and Etrac book...can clearly see that I enjoy helping other people. That has nothing to do with revealing the type of site that my "unbelievable" coin total came from. I have 2 other sites that have each given up 200+ silver coins over the last 40 years as well. It is nothing more than a lot of time spent in the field...a few good sites...one great site...a lot of digging...knowing your detector...and being lucky enough to get your coil over the deep coins.

Thanks Tommy...and I don't plan on revealing it. I appreciate the kind words for Hercules. He is definitely family. Take care, my friend.

nice finds!
