AFTER 40 YEARS, MY FAVORITE SITE GAVE UP IT'S 1000TH SILVER!
I've been hunting this site for 40 years...since I was 16...and it finally gave up silver #1000!
I remember coming here back in 1979 as a sophomore in high school, and finding my first silver with my Bounty Hunter 840 VLF/TR. I've pounded it over the last 40 years with my Whites Eagle, Eagle Spectrum, Fisher CZ-5, CZ-6, CZ-6a, CZ-7a, CZ-70pro, Minelab Explorer 2, Explorer SE pro, and E-Trac. I used to leave here quite often after a days hunt, with 10+ silver...but the last couple of years, I'm lucky to leave here with just one every two hunts or so. The signals are TOUGH...as they should be after 40 years of pounding. I hunted for 6 hours to find silver #1000 from here, and yes I dug a few rusty nails in the process.
The good thing is, when a coin does pop out, it's usually an oldie like this 1890 Seated dime.
I couldn't think of a better way to hit silver #1000 from the same site, than this old beautiful seated coin.
My buddy Dave also did well, pulling a nice 2-center and an old indian...and my beautiful wife hit her 2nd ever silver coin, with the old war nickel. Best part is, we all had a blast, and Hercules enjoyed the 70 degree weather.
