Well would you looky there. Im supposed to be outraged like everyone this morning over a dime the US mint came out with. I was wondering why everyone around me had such a pissed-off look on their faces. I'm always missing those reasons to be scared or outraged over all those reasons going on these days. I guess I need to pay more attention to what all the social media sites and YouTube is telling everyone. I've been living my whole life under a rock it seems. 😯

In spite of the Woman who Took care of Me was in
her 50's she seemed oblivious on the New dimes even coming out.
she said they don't check dates when I told her They Will look Different She Didn't Care.

She May Think they are Foreign & Refuse them when they get them

...that reminds me of the good old days... us along the border would always have Canadian coins in our pockets and no one ever cared as we used them.... BUT if you got too far away from the border, folks noticed and refused. Were any of you in the SW able to use Mexican coins in the '50s and '60s?... I always wondered.

Got my first view of a 2026 dime this AM; found one on the sidewalk.
Initially thought it was cheap foreign tin coin.
Also thought it felt light; it is: 2.268 g. vs Mercury @ 2.50 g.
I am not a fan.

Yes! Old Franklin needs to be permanently retired to the dust bin of history. Eighty yrs on a coin is way too long!

Don't you just love it? You preannounce a new dime (or whatever), you leave out or add some questionable new feature (?), and then you delay the broad release, and you get much greater demand. Then hoarding starts, the fed mints millions more, more hoarding occurs, the fed makes even more money, while the hoarders wait until the new coin(s) gain value. Result? only the fed wins. Funny thing is, this type of behavior has gone on enough times that folks should be wiser by now, than they are.

I remember when the 1776-1976 drummer boy quarters came out. The mint made 1.6 billion coins. Many were hoarded. My mom had 10 rolls of them. They’ll never be worth more than 25-cents.
