After Work hunt, found my first CW gun tool!

[VaMark]

Decided to go out the other day after work for a little hunt and found my first gun tool! That was pretty awesome to see in the dirt. Also found a Star carbine bullet, that is the first 1 of those I've found also. I was not able to positively ID the bullet in the dirt, pretty messed up, the bullet that closely matches it in my book is listed as unknown fired bullet.

Thanks for looking

A after work hunt should be around 3 hours ? If that's right you were averaging almost 10 relics a hour. The gun tool is cool but I'd love to dig that many good targets on a all day hunt.

I left work an hour early so it was a 4 hour hunt that day. I have been lucky enough to get onto private property that has not been hunted much, it has been hunted but not much. This is the first time I've had a spot to hunt that has that many good targets. Most places even a really good day long hunt is not that good.

I've only had a day like that twice on private property. The 1 it turned out we were on the wrong side of the farm that was suppose to be saved for family. The man was on the phone when we knocked on the door and his wife forgot to tell us that part. I could not believe all the targets .
The other was a homestead of a union soldier that no one had ever detected on. I found 3 plates , 11 coins, 142 buttons , 15 msuket balls , and a Belgium boot pistol . In the end I filled 3 display cases. I almost camped out on that spot ; )
