Got out this afternoon to look for artifacts and came across these cute and pretty critters. Also came across this old tipi ring.

Cool, looks like a horny toad (Alright, 'horned toad') I did not know they lived that far north. They used to be common in Oklahoma, but people started poisoning the ants, their food supply, and they started dyin off.

Thanks for the comments! Yes, RGINN it's too bad that they poisoned the ''horny toad's'' food supply. I used to live in Ok., and remember catching them. I was suprised to find them clear up here in Mt. You find them in the more arid and desert areas that are rocky and sandy.
