My brother went to chase to get some halfs, they said you must come back later and talk to Erin, she always has some. Well he called and she said come buy and get some. So he go's on his lunch break and speaks to her. She says how many do you want, he says what ever you can spare. She says I have $20 bucks worth. He says ok I will buy them. She then opens her draw takes out a bag and dumps them on the counter, their almost all walkers and franklins. She then go;s threw them and hands him $10 bucks worth of clad only and smiles and says that is all he can have. Have a nice day. What a silver tease. Needless to say he was not happy. She must do this all the time. I told him , look at the good side. You now have a great dump bank. opinions please. HH and have a nice Holiday.

HI Folks; What Part of "ILLEGAL" Do You Not -----

understand ???? The thing here is that those coins ARE the Banks PROPERTY; NOT the tellers. If a teller wants to buy those coins or bills then they MUST do so on their own time NOT the Banks. Even then they MUST do so with the approval of the Bank Manager who in turn "MUST" observe, by State Law, ALL transactions that that teller conducts in regards to buying anything or even, if you will, EXCHANGING these coins or currency. Also Tellers DO NOT have the Right to so called "cherry pick" through "ANY" boxes of coinage or currency that are in the BANKS Vaults or other Secured Areas. For the teller OR the Bank Manager to do so or otherwise is ILLEGAL and is Regulated by your States Banking Commission and the Federal Banking Commission. There are NO EXCEPTIONS here. If she had done that to me and the Bank Manager Approved of her behavior I would inform the Bank Manager in a nice but firm way that these actions ARE Illegal and if he did not allow your Transaction to proceed as first planned then I would nicely walk out and promptly REPORT this matter to the appropriate Authorities. I would also contact a Lawyer to check into any Violations of your own Civil Rights which I believe were violated. The bottom line here is is that this behavior is ILLEGAL, PERIOD. It will not be until We, the people actually stand up for our Rights or even Report Illegal activity at ANY Bank that this behavior will stop. I agree with being friendly and such but Illegal is Illegal ok. There are no grey areas here. Yes the teller can buy coins or currency and they are "Required" by State Law to remove the Exchanged coinage or currency from the Premises or into an Approved Secured Area, but they can NOT do what that Teller did and the Bank Mamager can NOT or should not have allowed this event to occur. It was and still is wrong. Yes I would have reported it ASAP. For us not to do so allows ourselves to be treated as second class Citizens and fosters the "Good Ole Boys" type mentality even when it is blatantly ILLEGAL.You all know the old phrase, "Well nobody says anything about it." If the Tellers were allowed to "cherry pick" through the coinage or currency in that Banks Vaults or other Secured Areas it would be like giving Tellers a free reign to have a Block Party in the Vaults. That Bank can be Cited and possibly Fined for allowing this behavior to occur. It is not until We as a whole stand up for our Rights that We will ever hope to stop this behavior and I dare say that if left unchecked this behavior WILL become the norm and spread like wildfire. If you think your not getting silver now what do you think will happen in the NEAR future ?? If someone jumps off a building would you do it to ?? Or would you say NO, Enough is Enough. What I'm saying here is not news. For Us not to work to stop this behavior or stand up for our Rights is for Us to agree with or allow jumping off that building because you "are" in effect jumping too. So I guess the question here is, When are We going to stop allowing this behavior and actually do something about it ?? Lastly, We do have the Right to buy loose coinage or currency from any Bank regardless of whether We are Customers or not. To make Special Transactions such as obtaining large amounts of coinage or currency then We either Must be or should be a Regular Customer at that bank. If a Bank deigns to allow us to obtain large amounts (boxes) of coinage or currency without being a Customer then God bless them and Us. I await your replies. PEACE:RONB

Wow! Complain, Really? Doing that will only screw it up for all of us. Man up people. Move on to the next one.

Agreed, it's part of the game we all enjoy. Not worth getting worked up over. Make an offer to buy under spot, if they don't want to sell for whatever reason cross that bank off the list and move on.

Well Folks; I tried. It's your choice. I'm only providing the info. . It's yours to do as you see fit ok. For me it doesn't matter. I just got my first box of Halves and got 9 - 1964 Kennedy's, 3 40% Kennedy's and 1 - 1960 Franklin. I'm happy. Anyway, PEACE:RONB
