Already tied with last years gold ring total (Update, pics added)

The title sounded better than it really is. I only found one gold ring all last year but the one I found today is a better one. It's 10K and it looks like a womans wedding band with 5 small diamonds in it. It was hard to get a good picture of it but it has white gold where the stones are and the rest is yellow gold. I hunted near the place I found the silver ring last week because I saw a rope swing there and that usually means a good place to hunt. The topsoil was very shallow there so there wasn't much digging involved. I mostly just scraped the top layer off with my knife. I found a nice old button that I haven't got cleaned up and a few thing that I have no clue what they are so I'll be posting them on the "what is it"...I also found a pretty nice looking fishing reel. Nice finds !! I went years and years with only a few silver rings Then there was the drought of 2007.
I ended up with around thirty rings from some of the old swimming holes.Eight were gold and one had 18 diamonds...........kinda hate we got the rain, but we really needed it

I have a diamond tester...if you send me the ring I'll check them for you... Wonderful to find gold.

I understand about being sore and over doing it. Metal detecting is like a blood hound, they follow the scent till they find the source or they die trying. I have to MAKE myself take breaks or risk being crippled the next day! :P
